Outdoors Calendar: North Dakota Game and Fish fall Advisory Board meetings begin Nov. 25

Park vehicle passes are required for all events at North Dakota and Minnesota state parks. Vehicle passes are $7 daily and $35 annually in both states.

  • Nov. 17: Christmas Open House, 1 to 5 p.m., Icelandic State Park near Cavalier, N.D. The Pioneer Village Heritage Center will be decorated with trees and lights, with a program beginning at 2 p.m. Info: parkrec.nd.gov/events/christmas-open-house.

  • Dec. 14: Wreath-making 101, Lake Bemidji State Park, 10 miles north of Bemidji off U.S. Highway 71 N.   • Dec. 15: Kids’ activity, “Gifts from Nature,” 1 to 2 p.m., Big Bog State Recreation Area near Waskish, Minn. Participants will make two kinds of gifts in the Visitor Center: one gift for nature and one to take home. Kids of all ages are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult. Info: (218) 647-8592.
